INTRODUCTION. Thank you for your interest in the Special Operations Surgical Team (SOST). This document outlines the application procedures for becoming a SOST member. SOST is tasked under the 24th Special Operations Wing (24 SOW), which is tasked under Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC).

The primary mission of the 24th Special Operations Wing is to provide Special Tactics forces for rapid global employment to enable air power success.
