2011 JD z425 hydro oil changing procedures. Hi everyone, I have a 2011 z425 with the zt-2800 hydro drive system. I wanted to change the fluid after about 75 hours, so I looked in the JD manual. Nothing on changing out the fluid (in fact, JD's manual is completely wrong for this system.You can try just changing the oil and repriming the system. Maybe it will just work after that. But, you said there were unhappy sounds when you tried turning the wheel. This probably indicates, at least, something is leaking fluid, probably just internally. This would likely be either the motor or the pump.This tractor used an open operator station. I am getting ready to take off the snowblower and put the mower deck back on it has 43 hours on it and the book saids to change the trans axel fluid and filter at 50 hours.
