How to hang window blinds

I plan to buy inset wood blinds for 3 single and 2 double windows in our bedroom. Singles are 26" wide and doubles are 54" (essentially two singles plus a 2" wood piece between them). The singles are easy but I'm not sure on the doubles since the wood piece between them is almost flush with the window glass, although the framing is 2 or 3" deep.
