Jul 16, 2021 at 12:35 PM. I recently read the updated “active labor” is 6 cm but you’re not actually considered “in labor” until there are both contractions AND progression (dilation/effacement) anything prior to being actively in labor (as you are now, 3cm and 75%) is BONUS! Yay!
